Welcome

This site is the final project for Emory’s Digital Scholarship course and presents my honors thesis on how AI literacy affects business students’ readiness for the workplace.

The study focuses on students at Emory’s Goizueta Business School, exploring how their understanding and trust in AI influence their ability and willingness to use it professionally.

Hi, I’m Cormack, a senior at Emory University, double majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing. In Spring 2025, I completed my Honors Thesis in collaboration with my advisor Dr.Mark Risjord. My research explores how business students learn and use artificial intelligence (AI).

I focus on AI literacy, which includes how well students understand, trust, and use AI. My research looks at how these factors influence their willingness to adopt AI tools in their future careers. By updating a classic technology acceptance model, I found that trust in AI plays a key role in this process. I hope my work can help schools design better AI-related courses and help students feel more confident using AI in real-world settings.

AI is a cutting-edge product born from interdisciplinary innovation. It is now rapidly reshaping fields such as education, business, and the labor market.I am deeply curious about how AI is applied in the business world and how it is transforming the skills and expectations of the modern workplace.

If you’d like to learn more about my research and background, feel free to explore my full thesis, personal profile , and LinkedIn. Or, if you’re interested in learning more about the concept and practical uses of artificial intelligence, I’ve also included a list of recommended AI-related websites  for you to explore.
